“A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words”
- Fredrick R. Barnard
As the old adage goes, a single picture is indeed more impactful than a few hundred thousand words. The 2024-25 Journalism cohort at Xavier Institute of Communications kept this in mind as they worked on their assignments under the guidance of faculty, Mr. Rajesh Joshi.
The students received a brief to capture a photograph that could be used as a book-cover. There were no restrictions, as they were free to select a subject of their interest. The image captured the essence of the book. The completed assignments covered a wide variety of subjects, from animals to art and from architecture to emotion. The students had the opportunity to walk around the city and view it from an artistic lens. They were able to encapsulate moments and stories in a single take and create a visual masterpiece.
